Hull Designer Surface Vessels (3-7 years exp.)

Your role

As a hull designer for ships, you will be part of teams working with design calculations and analyses. You will develop ship hulls in steel and composites. The tasks involve working with everything from idea to product documentation. You will work independently but must interact creatively and constructively cross-functionally in development projects with calculation engineers, other design departments, production, and procurement.

The work is performed in Aveva Marine, Aveva E3D, Creo, and Nauticus.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have an education in marine engineering or mechanical engineering, such as a bachelor's, master's, or equivalent master's degree. You will work within shipbuilding, hull design, dimensioning, metallic materials/welding, and composite materials. We prefer that you have high social competence and are both self-driven, proactive, and meticulous in your work. You have an analytical approach and are proactive in your tasks. You take initiative and responsibility and can work both independently and in a team. You express yourself well verbally and in writing, in both Swedish and English.

The location is Karlskrona. Business trips occur; a driver's license is not required but is advantageous.
