Volution Sweden AB is seeking a Development Engineer in Mechanics within Ventilation Products

About the role

As a development engineer, you work within the technical department on developing products in ventilation. You participate in designing, testing, and evaluating innovative and cost-effective solutions for the ventilation industry, both through new development and further development of our existing range. A large part of the work involves finding technical solutions, where we require the ability to look beyond existing solutions for similar issues. The work is often project-based. You work with SolidWorks 3D CAD. Creating 3D-printed prototypes is part of everyday tasks. Much of the development involves molded plastic products.

Furthermore, you actively participate in development projects for both new and existing products and are involved throughout the project lifecycle, from idea and concept to development, prototype, and industrialization. There is also an opportunity to lead and drive projects independently. It also includes, to some extent, being able to test and evaluate the company's products in our lab environment.

Your profile

To thrive and succeed in the role of development engineer at Volution, you need to appreciate a broad and business-oriented role where you can express your technical interest and creativity. As a person, you are innovative, analytical, flexible, and communicative. We are looking for a team player who also has the ability to independently drive projects and processes forward. You have a technical further education in product development, mechanical engineering, or design. Additionally, you have work experience in similar roles and experience in designing components manufactured with injection molding tools. Projects are often driven internationally with collaborations within the group.

Requirements for the position

· College or university education, or technical further education in product development, mechanical engineering, design, or equivalent experience.

· Work experience in design and product development

· Good knowledge of 3D design and drawing production

· Swedish and English in speech and writing

Merits for the position

· Experience with design in SolidWorks CAD system and PDM system

· Knowledge of design requirements for injection molding tools

· Theoretical calculation skills in flow, pressure, and humidity

· Experience from the HVAC industry

· Experience in project management

· Experience with testing in development labs.

· Experience with Monitor business system

Duration and location

Permanent full-time employment with start as agreed, placement at one of our offices in Växjö or Hälleforsnäs.
