Recess supervisor
Description
Do you want to help create movement joy, community, and meaningful recesses for our students?
At Annaskolan, a Waldorf school, we are now seeking an engaged and energetic recess supervisor.
As a recess supervisor, you have a special responsibility to plan, prepare, implement, and evaluate recess activities that attract students to play and movement. The role is part of the school's leisure-time team and involves an overall responsibility for developing recesses so that they become a positive part of the school day where students feel safe, included, and inspired to participate. In our pedagogy, we value creativity, imagination, and movement as a natural part of children's development.
Our large, green school area offers many opportunities for play, sports, and creative activities. You meet students from pre-school class to year 9 and adapt activities so that everyone can find something that suits them. Sometimes you actively participate in games and play, sometimes you take a step back and lead, support, and create structure.
The recess supervisor works closely with the school's school host, who has a special responsibility for the school's safety-promoting work. Together, you contribute to creating a safe, structured, and positive social environment for all students.
Working hours are preferably scheduled between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM. Part of the time is used for planning and preparing activities, as well as follow-up and development of recess activities.
We are looking for you who:
• have a lot of energy and a strong commitment to play and movement
• can enthuse students to participate and dare to try new activities
• are fair, clear, and relationship-building
• contribute to a safe and positive environment for all students
• enjoy collaborating and being part of Annaskolan's leisure-time team
• are creative and see opportunities in the school's outdoor environment
The position is approximately 75%.
Welcome with your application to Annaskolan!
