About the Position

We are seeking a personal assistant for a man in his 60s who lives in northern Gotland. He lives with ALS and needs safe, professional, and respectful support in his daily life. Here, you will have an important role in a small work team where continuity, responsibility, and collaboration are crucial.

This is a job for you who are responsible, attentive, and understand the importance of integrity, self-determination, and continuity. As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and are an important support in his daily life. The work is performed at home and in the environments where he spends time.

The tasks may include:

• Personal care
• Support in daily routines
• Mobility assistance
• Accompaniment during activities and errands
• Practical support at home

The work requires presence, patience, and an ability to adapt to the client's daily condition and needs.

The work is structured, and you will receive a clear introduction to aids and routines.

Working Hours and Employment

The client has assistance around the clock. The working hours are 8-16, 16-22:30, and 22-08:30 (awake night). We believe that you who are applying either want to work day/evening or night.

The position is full-time or part-time and is scheduled by agreement. We aim for continuity and long-term planning in the schedule. We prefer that you are flexible with working hours and also have the ability to work weekends.

The employment begins with an hourly position until you have gotten to know the client and the tasks better. If the chemistry works between you and the client, it can transition to a permanent position.

Since we are actively recruiting, we prefer that you can start immediately and can work a large part of the summer.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• B driver's license and access to a car (mileage allowance applies under specific conditions)
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Ability to work according to the position's scheduling (day/evening or night)

Meritorious:

• Experience working as a personal assistant
• Experience with ALS or other neurological diseases
• Care and nursing education (e.g., assistant nurse)
