Do you want to work as a personal assistant in Gislaved?

We are looking for someone interested in working as a personal assistant to a wheelchair-bound man in his 30s with a CP injury. Physical presence and practical support are required, as well as a fine-tuned sense of when to be helpful – and when to just be there. You do not need prior experience, but you should be secure, attentive, and have a good sense of integrity.

He lives in Gislaved with his family. There is a dog in the home. The hours are mostly scheduled during the day, weekdays, full-time position. As an assistant, you will make a difference in his life. Are you a secure and relaxed person who wants to work closely with another human being – without getting stuck in rigid routines and hospital environments? Then this might be right for you.

The work includes everything from care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various aids, training, assistance with activities, and accompanying to daily activities, etc. He is functionally blind, seeing a small percentage, and it will also require that you, as a personal assistant, can interpret verbally. The workplace is in his home, daily activities, and wherever else he may be. The working hours are mostly scheduled during the day, Monday through Friday.

You must be able to speak fluent Swedish, as this is a job where good communication is very important.
