Description
Description
Do you want to work a summer job at a daily activity center with a unique focus on sports, exercise, and outdoor life? We are looking for you who enjoys physical activity combined with the ability to work in a structured and individualized manner with our participants.
Meaningful Care AB operates daily activities according to LSS target group 1 and caters to adults with autism and intellectual disabilities. Our facility is located in Täby within walking distance to Täby center, with access to Roslagsbanan and buses.
Our focus for our participants is a sensory-stimulating activity with a health-promoting emphasis. Our content is based on outdoor life, sports, and exercise in all weather conditions. Physical activity is a constant element conducted both indoors and outdoors. Examples of activities include ball sports, swimming, obstacle courses, athletics, and walks tailored to each individual. Therefore, it is an advantage if you yourself enjoy physical activity. Other activities offered to participants include training in daily life activities such as packing a swim bag independently, assisting in the kitchen, tidying up, and recycling.
Job Duties
With us, the focus is on creating the best possible environment for our participants. Your job is to motivate and assist the participant during daily activities.
Our mission is to adapt ourselves and our activities to each individual participant's needs and abilities. Provide the support they feel they need to participate in society, achieve their own goals, and based on their conditions. As an employee with us, you work by being attentive and showing interest in what each individual expresses and desires. Our work with participants is based on a structured approach with clear pedagogy, low-arousal interaction, and alternative and augmentative communication.
Your job duties involve supporting and challenging the participant to develop and achieve their individual goals through a tailored approach for each participant. A large part of the work consists of finding and planning meaningful activities in the area and surroundings and in our own facility for our participants, such as walks, swimming, ball games, and outdoor activities.
