Social Educator/Treatment Educator

Vintergården Residential Care Home is a family-like treatment home on a smaller scale for children and young people aged 9–18 years with social issues, norm-breaking behavior, experiences of care deficits, and often low or no trust in adults. We are in a development phase where we are opening a new unit while strengthening our existing operations. Therefore, we are now looking for you who want to be part of expanding our permanent staff.

In the role of social educator, you work closely with the youth in their daily lives. You help create structure, safety, and context through relationships, activities, and presence. The work also involves participating in daily life, supporting schoolwork, creating safe meals, and contributing to making the residence a pleasant home. You work based on implementation plans, document, and collaborate with social services, schools, and other important stakeholders.

We are looking for you who are secure, stable, and clear, with a good ability to build relationships even when it takes time. You are reflective, curious, and have a desire to understand what lies behind a behavior. The work requires that you can remain present even when it is challenging. With us, it is important to be able to collaborate, but also to take own responsibility and contribute to a safe and stable environment.

You have a post-secondary education as a social educator, or equivalent. Experience working with children and young people is meritorious. A Class B driver's license is a requirement.

The position is full-time with work during days, evenings, weekends, and nights. Start date according to agreement. We conduct background checks and extracts from criminal records are required.
