Youth Coordinator

Do you want to work on strengthening youth participation, safety, and future confidence through meaningful activities and relationship-building work?

Then we are looking for you who wants to make a difference in Uddevalla together with us at MiM Knowledge Center.

As a youth coordinator, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing activities for young people in Uddevalla. You work closely with the target group and contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment where young people can develop, take responsibility, and feel included.

You will, among other things, work with two key initiatives:

Future Fridays (funded by Uddevalla Municipality)

Recurring activities where young people (15–26 years) participate in activities that strengthen community, leadership, study motivation, and personal development.

I Own the City (funded by the Swedish Postcode Foundation)

A project that aims to counteract racism, strengthen democratic values, and increase youth influence through dialogue, education, and joint activities.

You primarily work with young people in the neighborhoods of Tureborg, Dalaberg, and Hovhult.

Your assignment includes, among other things

Planning and implementation of youth activities, especially evening activities

Coordination of activities that promote safety, participation, and community

Support for young people in their personal development and engagement

Relationship-building work with youth and their networks

Collaboration with schools, associations, social services, and the municipality

Support and supervision of youth leaders and volunteers

Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for young people
