Summer Substitutes for an Active Woman in Majorna

I am an active, independent, and social woman with a cerebral palsy injury, aged 59, living in my own apartment in Majorna.

I need help with personal assistance in my daily life with everything from toilet visits, personal hygiene to other tasks such as transfers using a mobile lift, help putting on and taking off hearing aids, cleaning, clothing care, cooking, etc.

With me, assistants do not have any medical responsibility; I tell them which medications I need and when I want, for example, to boil water for my sleep respirator.

With me, as an assistant, you do not work from a checklist of what needs to be done; I tell you what I need assistance with. My days vary regarding times I want to eat, help with dressing, etc.

As an assistant, you accompany me and provide assistance during association activities, meetings with friends and family, outings, shopping in stores, etc.

Since I have severe mobility impairments in my arms and hands, you as an assistant need to help me write text messages often, both private messages and writing texts for association magazines, etc. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that you have a good command of Swedish and can express yourself clearly, considering I have a hearing impairment.

The work as a personal assistant with me may involve you sometimes meeting me at other locations and ending your shift at places other than my apartment. When I use public transport for people with disabilities, I need to bring a personal assistant, so if you are to meet me at another location and use your car for work with me, you can park your car at my place first.

I need summer substitutes from June/July to August. In June, I do not need many substitutes, but mainly in July and August. Substitute shifts are not full-time positions but can range from 50-90% depending on your availability. Shifts are scheduled at three times per day: morning 08:00-15:00, afternoon and evening 15:00-21:00, and night 21:00-08:00. On night shifts, I am active from 21:00-02:30, followed by waiting time from 02:30-07:00.

If we get along well, there are great opportunities to continue as a substitute even after the summer.
