13-year-old boy seeking male personal assistant

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a male who is calm and secure as a person, but who still retains a childlike spirit. You should be able to take your own initiatives when needed, be clear, active, and stable. You also need to be strong and able to perform some heavy lifting/transfers. The boy has no speech, but can express himself with sounds, as an assistant it's good if you feel relaxed in one-way communication.

Having patience and being an empathetic person are good qualities in this job. That you are attentive, focused, and attentive to the user's needs we see as a given.

We place great importance on personal suitability, personal chemistry, and collaboration skills. Since you will be working in the user's home, it is important that you have a professional approach. We prefer applicants who see the job long-term.

The position involves working certain fixed evenings and every other weekend, according to schedule. But you should be flexible and able to step in when needed, for example if a colleague gets sick etc. Working hours are scheduled for afternoons/evenings on weekdays and slightly longer day shifts on weekends.

The position can vary between 50-70% or it could be working as a substitute on an hourly basis, this can be discussed during a potential employment. It can be good to combine the position as a substitute with studies or another part-time job.

Who is seeking a personal assistant:

I am a 13-year-old boy who has had cerebral palsy since birth, I use a wheelchair and need help with most things, as I want to be able to live my life as well and as normally as possible.

Job duties:

Your job duties are to help me in my daily life. I need help to be able to engage in activities, to listen to music etc., communicate, to move around, personal hygiene, tube feeding, training according to exercise schedule is an IMPORTANT part. To move me outdoors and indoors with the wheelchair, practice standing, clean up my room and do other fun things. There are aids such as lifts etc. but there are some heavier lifts, where it is good if you are physically strong.

Your workplace is where the client is located.

Experience:

If you have experience working as an assistant to a child, that is a plus.
