Extra Staff for HVB!

HVB-Institutet i Roslagen AB is a company with long experience in social work and currently has a license to operate an HVB for youth and consultant-supported emergency and foster care. We have formal education and competence, adequate experience, and above all a high work ethic with our youth's individual needs in focus.

We are currently looking for staff who can work extra in varied extents. Milton HVB is located in Norrtälje. Milton is a small, family-like HVB home with 5 places. The target group is youth aged 14–18 years who have been in risk environments, committed crimes, tried drugs, and/or have threatening behavior. We accept placements according to SoL and LVU.

We work based on the method KOBTIVA – Cognitive and behavioral training in daily life – an evidence-based treatment method for youth with social problems. Our goal is to offer a safe, structured, and predictable operation. We train our youth to create and maintain functional behaviors that are sustainable over time.

To be qualified for a position with us, at least two years of post-secondary education in the area of social work is required. By this, we mean that you are educated as a treatment pedagogue, treatment assistant, or social educator. It is also acceptable if you are educated as a behavioral scientist or social worker. We also want you to have experience with the target group. It is meritorious if you have knowledge regarding Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as knowledge of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF) and mental health issues in children and youth. It is further meritorious if you have experience working with extensive behavioral issues.

You are curious and take responsibility for your own part as well as for our youth, and you strive to be a clear and good role model. Furthermore, you need to be patient, secure in yourself, and have the ability to handle conflicts in a constructive way and maintain calm in stressful situations. You understand the importance of having a shared vision around our daily treatment work. You have a good ability to set clear boundaries and are at the same time flexible in an eventful environment. You have a very good ability to create professional and safe relationships where you can also stand firm in any conflicts.

As extra staff with us, you will be involved in the daily treatment work with the youth. You will be part of a small and skilled workgroup that works on a schedule which includes day shifts, evening shifts, and overnight shifts. As extra staff, you are offered work shifts that are scheduled during daytime/afternoons/evenings/nights as well as weekends. In periods, you may also be offered work shifts with awake nights.

You must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions in agreement with our work method and with ongoing support from the nearest manager. The method requires that you can express yourself well in speech and writing and have good computer skills, as documentation is an important tool in the work. We place great importance on personal suitability, and a requirement is that you have experience with treatment work at HVB for youth.

Prior to employment, it is required that you provide extracts from suspicion and criminal records. We also want to contact references from previous employers.

Note that this position requires you to have a B driver's license for manual car.
