Pipe Inspector for IRG Pipe Inspection - Kungsbacka
Description
Pipe Inspector for IRG Pipe Inspection - Kungsbacka
IRG Pipe Inspection AB is one of Sweden's leading companies in pipe inspection and supplementary water analysis. The company has over 30 employees with a head office in Kungsbacka and a branch in Ljungskile. We are part of the Norva24 group.
Job Description
The role involves inspecting sewage pipelines in the ground, at industrial sites, or in buildings. You will be assisted by a specially equipped bus with a robotic camera controlled via a joystick and computer inside the bus. The robot with a camera is lowered into the pipes via a manhole and then driven up to 300 meters inside the pipe while the pipe is video-recorded and profile-measured, with deviations photographed and documented in the computer program.
The work is highly independent and involves responsibility for contact with customers and contractors, as well as with, for example, jetting truck drivers with whom you collaborate when they clean the pipes before filming.
This position is based at our Kungsbacka office but may involve some travel as we sometimes perform filming in locations outside our immediate area.
You will receive internal training within the company and learn to work according to the industry standards for filming in sewage pipelines in the ground and buildings.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Film, inspect, measure, assess, and document sewage pipelines.
- Probe and GPS map pipelines and manholes, etc.
- Responsible for customer contact
- Collaborate with the team on various assignments.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is technically and practically inclined and can solve the problems and challenges that arise.
Your personality is important to us, and we seek a person who is meticulous, reliable, and responsible. You enjoy collaborating with others and have a professional approach towards both customers and colleagues. You have your own drive, can work independently, are confident in yourself, and have the willingness to learn new things.
It is obviously very advantageous if you have experience in pipe inspection or from the water and sewage side, but it is not a requirement.
Requirements
- Contact with customers requires you to speak and write Swedish fluently.
- You have good computer skills.
- Class B driver's license.
- Ability to read maps and drawings.
