Description of work tasks:
As a study and career counselor with us at MoA Learning Center, you work closely with the students and are an important part of the team including teachers, administrators, special education teachers, work-based learning coordinators, and the school principal. You participate in our meetings and student conferences. Together, you give the students the best conditions to succeed in their studies. In the role of study and career counselor, you will meet students individually and in groups, in the classroom and via digital channels. You guide and encourage students in their study situations and highlight possible paths to working life and further studies. The work takes place on-site at the school, and you need to be available for both drop-in and scheduled counseling sessions. Our school is centrally located in Huddinge with proximity to public transport. In the role of SYV, you are part of the school's resource team and the validation team.
The work includes, among other things:
· Maintaining student, teacher, and customer contact with high service levels
· Providing professional study and career counseling
· Reviewing and going through study plans (ISP) for students both with us and with clients
· Conducting motivational conversations with students individually and in groups may occur
· Working with validation and being part of the school's validation team
· Guidance on-site, via Teams and learning platforms, and both drop-in and scheduled meetings
· Collaborating with municipal study and career counselors and other clients
· Participating in the school's marketing and attending fairs
· Assisting students in applications for further studies
· Holding information sessions for student groups may occur with a focus on the labor market and job search process, for example, advice on designing CVs, merit lists, and cover letters
· Supporting students in their applications to CSN and informing about other possible study and grant funds available, as well as arranging various certificates
· Producing various types of reports/statistics for management and municipalities
· Having close collaboration with other functions and colleagues at the schools
Formal Competence

You must be a qualified study and career counselor with a study and career counselor degree.
You have experience working with students in adult education, including the education programs we offer.
You are a skilled computer user and learn new programs quickly, as well as having good knowledge of Gy25.
You enjoy meeting students both in classroom situations and via various digital forums.
You are good at organizing and planning your time and are motivated by supporting and leading people.
You have patience, strong commitment, good people skills, and are communicative in both speech and writing.
