Leisure-Time Center Teacher

Malmen Montessori in Borås is beautifully situated in nature right next to the lovely Ramnasjön lake in a large, older, and beautiful brick building. We are one of the country's largest Montessori schools with approximately 750 children in preschool, elementary school, and leisure-time centers, and have over 120 employees. The students are divided into mixed-age groups.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher/leisure-time educator with the qualification to teach in leisure-time education.

We are seeking you with a curious approach, who is positive, responsible, flexible, and secure. You have a structured, creative working method and are skilled at inspiring and motivating the children to discover, learn, and develop.

We would like you to have experience in the profession and be interested in Montessori pedagogy. It is not a requirement to be Montessori-trained as further training is provided internally. You are involved in developing our operations in relation to the curriculum and our Montessori educational plan.

You stimulate each child to educate themselves and grow with their tasks and provide freedom under responsibility. From that freedom, the students' independence can develop, which then gives self-confidence and the ability for critical examination.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting in August 2026. For this position, we apply vacation service.

Our operations are run by a parents' association, and our principal is a board that includes the school head, as well as a management group. The parents are our pillars and important to have good communication with.

As an employee in our administration, you are offered, among other things, wellness allowance and occupational health care.

According to the School Act, an extract from the police criminal records register must be presented by persons before they are employed in preschool activities, school, and school-age childcare. You request this on the Police website.
