Strömma Seeks Vocational Teacher in Agriculture

We are looking for you who want to teach vocational courses in the agriculture specialization (machinery/plant cultivation) and business economics in the natural resource use program.

Are you a teacher, farm manager, or have similar education? We believe in connecting the more theoretical subjects with subjects in the student's chosen specialization.

We are looking for you who have good knowledge in the subjects and have the ability to build relationships, are social and structured.

Information about Strömma

Strömma is a historic school located in a beautiful natural environment just outside Sätila between Gothenburg and Borås. Strömma Natural Resource Use Center AB operates natural resource use education at the upper secondary level and is owned by the Hushållningssällskapet Sjuhärad. The Hushållningssällskapet has existed for over 200 years and is a non-profit organization with the purpose of creating good and sustainable conditions for the green industries and rural development.

Strömma Natural Resource Use Center offers the natural resource use program with specializations in agriculture, horse care, and animal care, as well as a smaller number of places in the Introduction Program.

Currently, we have over 180 students, the majority of whom live at the student dormitory from Monday to Friday. We have about 50 employees, of which over 20 are teachers. The school consists of many buildings, ranging from traditional classrooms to animal stables and workshops. The school has its own school farm where we cultivate 260 hectares. At the school, there are dairy cows, sheep, horses, rabbits, rodents, guinea pigs, birds, fish, and reptiles. We have a riding arena and a dog training hall.

All students have the opportunity to choose courses for natural science eligibility.
