Preschool Teacher - Temporary Position

Are you passionate about working with children in a group setting while having a strong interest in learning and preschool development?

Talattans parent cooperative in Långedrag is now seeking a preschool teacher for a one-year temporary position to cover for parental leave. The position may be extended, and there is a possibility to convert it into a permanent role over time.

In the heart of Långedrag, you will find our small parent cooperative with space for 20 children aged 1–5 years. Together with the rest of the staff team, you will create a safe environment for the children, characterized by curiosity, joy, and friendship.

About the Position

The team currently consists of two preschool teachers and four childcare assistants. Due to parental leave, we are now looking for an additional colleague.

Together, you will shape the operations and create the best conditions to deliver education and care. The work is conducted with the advantages of a cooperative, such as engaged guardians and short decision-making paths. You will work largely independently and have great opportunity to design both your own workday and the preschool's educational activities.

You will work continuously with colleagues and parents to ensure that guidelines are followed and high quality is maintained.

About the Operation

Talattans parent cooperative is a preschool in the heart of Långedrag with a group of about 20 children. Our operation is run in an association form where everyone is a member, similar to a cooperative.

We have a very good atmosphere in the child and parent groups, and a rewarding collaboration between educators, the board, and parents, while having clearly defined areas of responsibility. The preschool's board is responsible for the overall economy and has personnel responsibility for the preschool's employees.

In the area, we have communications, the sea, and parks just around the corner. We have a large and varied outdoor environment with everything from fruit trees to sledding hills, playhouses, etc. Indoors, there are practical facilities with space for both noise and play as well as quiet moments.

We offer breakfast, lunch, and snacks every day.

We follow the curriculum, run a creative and playful operation based on children's natural curiosity. We are outdoors every day and also enjoy making excursions that involve exploring both the surroundings near the preschool and taking the tram to use the city's offerings of museums, performances, and similar.
