We are looking for an engaged Social Studies teacher who wants to help develop a stimulating and safe learning environment at our school. This is a full-time position with a start date as agreed. The position is a fixed-term employment that can lead to permanent employment.

About the role

We are an international school with 850 students from preschool class to grade 9 and 130 staff members from around the world. As a Social Studies teacher with us, you are responsible for planning and conducting inspiring lessons for students in grades 4–9. You work closely with your subject team and also become a mentor for a group of about 15 students, where you get the chance to coach them in their personal and academic development.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a confident and competent teacher who enjoys being a role model in the classroom and can adapt their teaching to students' different ages and needs. Qualifications we prioritize in applicants are:

• Swedish teaching license with qualifications in Social Studies subjects for the later years of compulsory school (or if you are at the end of your teacher education and will soon obtain your degree).
• Ability to create engagement and critical thinking around societal issues among students.
• Positive and collaborative – you are a team player who contributes to a good atmosphere among colleagues.
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, as we operate in an international environment.
