Do you want to help shape a meaningful and safe after-school program in a beautiful natural environment? Bäckaforsskolan is now seeking an engaged and warm after-school center teacher full-time starting in August 2026.

Bäckaforsskolan is a Christian independent school in Ljungskile with small student groups and a clear value foundation. About the position:

You will have overall responsibility for the after-school center's operations, which includes about 20 children aged 6–13 years. The role involves planning, implementing, and developing a meaningful after-school program in accordance with the curriculum (Lgr 22), focusing on students' development, learning, and social interaction.

The after-school center's mission involves:

• stimulating students' development and learning and offering meaningful leisure time
• 
  
• complementing the school's teaching by working with creativity, movement, and social community
• 
  
• starting from students' needs, interests, and experiences
• 
  
• creating a safe and inclusive environment where each child is seen

The position also includes some time as a resource in the compulsory school, where you collaborate with the school's other staff.

We are looking for you who:

• has experience working in after-school centers or with children in the relevant age groups
• 
  
• is confident, responsible, and has good ability to lead a group of children
• 
  
• shares and wants to work based on our Christian value foundation
• 
  
• is flexible, cooperative, and sees opportunities in a small operation

Certification as a teacher in after-school centers is meritorious.
