Tellusskolan THEA in Bromma is located a short walk from the tram line in Johannesfred. THEA Bromma is the small school with big ambitions. We work with rhetoric as our profile – a working method that strengthens students' communicative ability, self-confidence, and language development in all subjects.
The school has committed and experienced teachers who together drive development work with a focus on collegial learning. We have low staff turnover and high job satisfaction. The school has about 150 students, with two classes per grade, and shows good results in both grades and national tests.
The governing body is Tellusskolan II AB, which operates six schools in Enköping, Linköping, and Stockholm. We are a largely teacher-driven organization where your competence and commitment are crucial for the school's continued development.
About the position
We are now seeking a certified teacher in French for a permanent position of 40%.
You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on French instruction. We place great importance on varied and engaging teaching that gives students both language skills and increased understanding of culture and communication.
The position is currently scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays, with the possibility of an alternative arrangement spread over three working days.
With us, the relationship with students is central. You are therefore both a subject teacher and, together with a colleague, a mentor for a class. The mentorship includes monitoring students' knowledge development and social development in close collaboration with guardians and colleagues.
You will be part of a work team where you work together for a safe learning environment with good study conditions. An important part of the assignment is also to contribute to the school's systematic quality work, participate in collegial learning, and observe colleagues.
Extended student-focused assignment
In addition to teaching, there is a student-focused assignment focusing on safety and study conditions during breaks. The role includes:
• contributing to the development of the school's break activities
• collaborating on structure and presence during breaks
• participating in organized café activities in the school library twice a week (approx. 1 hour per occasion)
The purpose is to create a calm, inclusive, and meaningful environment where students are given the opportunity for social interaction, recovery, and activity during the school day.
