Teacher with Special Education Competence

Örjanskolan is a Waldorf school located in beautiful natural surroundings right by the edge of the Baltic Sea. Our students range from preschool class up to grade 12, and we currently have about 270 students. In our vicinity, there are many different activities such as Ytterjärna Culture House and its park with ponds and greenhouses, and Nibble Farm with a natural resources high school. Buses, with connections that match the school's schedule, stop right outside.

We are now seeking one to two teachers with special education competence for our student health team. We are looking for a pleasant and professional teacher on a part-time basis where the employment percentage can be discussed. One position is a permanent employment with a probationary period applied, and the other position is a fixed-term employment.

Job Duties

As a teacher with special education competence, you will work in close collaboration with teachers, the student health team, and the principal to create a good, inclusive, and health-promoting study and work environment for our students. Your duties include providing support to students in teaching, both in groups and individually, as well as assisting and supporting teachers in finding solutions in various teaching situations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a trained teacher with a strong interest in and good knowledge of special education
• have additional training that provides practical and theoretical competence in special education as well as knowledge of relevant legislation
• have experience with or interest in Waldorf pedagogy
• have experience working with students in need of support
• have a strong commitment to students' learning and development
• build good relationships with students
• have good collaboration skills with colleagues and guardians
• have well-functioning routines for documentation and follow-up
