Preschool Teacher at a Cooperative

We are seeking you as a preschool teacher who wants to work in a small and family-friendly preschool operation.

Family Happiness is a small parent cooperative with a strong focus on highlighting children's individual abilities in a combination of sibling groups and age divisions under the guidance of a secure pedagogical team.

Here, you will encounter high trust in your abilities and ample opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in shaping the operation. As a parent cooperative, close collaboration with parents is important to us. Parents do not work in the child group, but in the daily operation, you will work together with our other educators. Parents contribute with cleaning, caretaking, and similar tasks.

Family Happiness is both a preschool and after-school care, which means children can start with us when they are ready for preschool and then remain under the guidance of the same pedagogical team as long as they need childcare. The preschool operates in its own villa with 2-3 educators on each floor. After-school care is a separate department with two educators in another facility. During the first and last hours of the day, we combine the operations, so as a preschool educator, you will also welcome after-school children in the morning.

For this position, the initial focus will be on our youngest preschool children, aged 1-2 years.

As a preschool teacher, you will:

• Create an inclusive, supportive, and challenging learning environment for the children.
• Design and conduct pedagogical activities that promote the children's development and learning.
• Observe, document, and evaluate the children's progress and adapt the teaching to their needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to create positive and open communication.
• Support the children's social and emotional development by building positive relationships

We believe you are active, have a flexible working approach with the insight that different child groups require different working methods. You are willing to drive both your own and the preschool's development forward. You have a strong commitment and are willing to share your experiences and insights within the profession.

Perhaps you are newly graduated and bring fresh knowledge of pedagogical research and methodology. Perhaps you are an experienced educator who also brings practical experience and good knowledge of children's needs, families' daily lives, and collaboration among educators.
