Handicrafts Teacher

Stockholm International Academy in Hägersten is a well-established F–9 school with approximately 210 students. The school is located in a quiet area near commuter trains and buses in Älvsjö, with two pleasant schoolyards and proximity to forested areas. We are an independent school with instruction in Swedish following the Swedish curriculum.

We know that language is the key to learning. Therefore, we work with language development in all subjects and focus particularly on early and systematic development of Swedish and English. Here, we have an active school library, well-equipped special-purpose rooms, and staff who enjoy their work and choose to stay.

Our student health is central to the school's development work. We collaborate closely between school leadership, student health personnel, and work teams to create accessible, safe, and inclusive learning environments.

We are seeking a handicrafts teacher (20–40%)

Do you want to help develop a school where language and knowledge go hand in hand – even in practical-aesthetic subjects? We are now looking for an engaged handicrafts teacher for a part-time position.

About the position

The position includes teaching handicrafts for students in grades F–9, with a workload of 20–40%. The assignment can be adapted based on your competence and availability.

• have good experience in teaching the subject
• work with language development and recognize the importance of language in all aspects of learning – even in the handicrafts room
