Principal for the Parent Cooperative Junibacken

We are looking for an engaged and collaboration-oriented preschool principal for our small, cozy parent cooperative preschool Junibacken, located in a quiet residential area on Akalla heights.

About the position

The position starts at the beginning of September 2026 on a part-time basis, as our current principal reduces working hours until January 2027. From January 2027, you will assume the position full-time.

As principal with us, you are responsible for the operations at our small preschool with two departments and a total of 30–32 children. Each department has three engaged educators/preschool teachers, and you lead, support, and develop both the staff and the operations. We have our own chef who prepares homemade food, and we value outdoor activities and time spent outside.

We are looking for you who

• Are a trained preschool teacher with experience in preschool management, or at the beginning of your principal journey (e.g., by studying principal education part-time).
• Are curious and engaged in the idea of a parent cooperative, where collaboration with both educators and parents is central.
• Have the ability to create a safe and developmental environment for the children.
• Want to contribute to our educational activities and develop our work together with staff and parents.
• Master Swedish orally and in writing, which is a requirement.
