Operations Manager at LaSSe User Support Center

We are seeking an Operations Manager with a solid interest in the rights and opportunities for people with disabilities

LaSSe User Support Center is a non-profit organization in the Västra Götaland region that serves people with disabilities. The organization enhances individuals' ability to live a life based on their own wishes and needs through counseling, information, group activities, and education.

The organization is a staff cooperative. LaSSe User Support Center is politically and religiously unaffiliated and does not have any interest-based political agenda.

The office is located in Mölndal, but the organization operates throughout the Västra Götaland region. The organization is primarily funded through a non-profit public partnership with VGR. The organization is a member of Fremia and has a collective agreement.

Who are we looking for?

LaSSe User Support Center is seeking an operations manager with a genuine interest in working for people's rights and opportunities. Your task is, together with other employees, to manage and further develop LaSSe User Support Center's unique operations. Therefore, we are looking for you who have experience in managing operations, preferably in a non-profit organization. You should also be able to lead and distribute work in a small team.

As a person, you should be attentive, interested in collaboration, but it is also important to have your own ideas and solutions. You have good ability to develop and lead people based on their own conditions. As a representative of the organization, you represent LaSSe User Support Center externally. You are also responsible for cooperation with financiers, clients, and partners.

Since LaSSe User Support Center is a small organization in a cooperative spirit, personal suitability is of great importance.

Qualifications

You have a university education, preferably in behavioral/social sciences with a focus on social issues.

You have experience leading a work team, preferably in a non-profit organization.

You have good experience in close collaboration with your work team.

You have experience with personnel responsibility and leading work teams.

You have good knowledge in business economics and experience with budget work.

You have experience building networks and establishing new collaborations and contacts.

Since there is some travel involved in the position, it is also advantageous if you have a driver's license.

Combined Position of Operations Manager and Counselor

The position as operations manager is 50 – 60%. The position can, if desired, be combined with a part-time position as a counselor in any scope.

The majority of a counselor position involves individual counseling on issues related to legislation and society's efforts for people with various disabilities.

As a counselor, you also work with knowledge-enhancing initiatives and offering social interaction through our meeting place. This can be in the form of organizing courses, cultural activities, or lectures.

As a counselor, you must have very good knowledge in the social insurance area and be up-to-date with LSS and SoL, as well as disability policy.

Meritorious if you live with your own disability, or have experience being a relative of a person with a disability.

Meritorious if you have experience working from an empowerment perspective. Meritorious is also knowledge of motivational interviewing (MI).

Scope and Duration

The employment is a permanent position at 50 - 100% starting with a six-month probationary period.
