I Ur och Skur Utveckling AB is seeking a principal who has already carried the full principal role for some time and knows what it entails.

This is a role where you are expected to have the ability, and also the willingness, to step in, correctly assess the situation, and take responsibility for the whole from day one. At the same time, you need the capability and desire to drive development and take the operations forward.

The Role

You are responsible for an elementary school (F–3) and a preschool with a shared environment, shared dependencies, and an organization where structure, trust, and direction need to be consistently maintained over time.

You will further develop the operations, based on our pedagogy where movement, nature, and sustainable development are integrated into learning. The further development of the operations should also focus on quality, sustainable organization, and have a long-term perspective on education.

This means that you:

• Lead teaching and education with management, not just presence
• Drive systematic quality work that is anchored in practice and influences results
• Take full employer responsibility in a context where work environment, trust, and expectations are handled with precision
• Create predictability in daily life for employees
• Ensure the organization functions even when you are not in the room
• Lead and develop student health work so that it is preventive, integrated, and a natural part of the quality of education

You are expected to be able to determine when to stabilize and when to drive change.

About the Operations and Organization

Friluftsfrämjandet I Ur och Skur Utveckling AB, wholly owned by Friluftsfrämjandet, operates thirteen preschools and schools with a unique pedagogy where any profit is reinvested in the operations.

Our pedagogy is also shared via license with hundreds of preschools and schools across the country, where together we reach thousands of children. We spark curiosity and joy of movement in children and students, and after 40 years in the industry, our pedagogy rests securely on a scientific foundation and proven experience.

As a principal within I Ur och Skur's own operations, you become part of a competent group of principals who regularly meet both physically and digitally. You also join an extended collegium together with our licensed preschools and schools around the country.

As a principal, you have a clear mission:

"Contribute to more children, regardless of background, getting out into nature, developing knowledge about outdoor life and sustainable development."

Mårtensberg School is an elementary school F–3 with after-school care and about 90 students, while Mullebo is a preschool with about 50 children. Both operations are located in a natural setting with proximity to outdoor areas and share the same schoolyard.

As principal, you are responsible for both units and ensure a common thread from preschool to grade 3.

You will operate in a system where management, follow-up, and responsibility are clearly defined, and where quality in execution is crucial.

Conditions, requirements, and distribution of responsibilities change over time. The role therefore requires you to build an organization that remains stable even when frameworks are adjusted – and that simultaneously has the capacity to develop further.

You are part of a principal group where collegial exchange presupposes that you already carry your part of the role fully.

Qualifications

• Completed national principal education
• Several years of experience as a principal or deputy principal with overall responsibility
• Documented ability to lead operations where quality, work environment, and results are balanced simultaneously
• Very good knowledge of school law, labor law, and collaborative processes with unions
• Good and in-depth understanding of the student health mission and experience in leading a functioning student health effort
