Örjanskolan in Järna seeks coordinator for upper secondary school 25%

Örjanskolan is a Waldorf school located in beautiful natural surroundings right by the Baltic Sea. Here, students can attend from preschool class up to grade 12. We offer two college preparatory programs: the natural science and the aesthetic upper secondary school program, special Waldorf variant. Currently, the entire school has about 270 students.

In our vicinity, there are many different activities such as Ytterjärna Cultural Center and its park with ponds and greenhouses and Nibble farm with natural resource upper secondary school. Buses, with connections that suit the school's schedule, stop right outside.

Job Responsibilities

As coordinator for the upper secondary school, you will participate in leading the development of the upper secondary school in close interaction with the school's holistic view, where theoretical, aesthetic, and practical subjects are woven together into a meaningful whole. The assignment includes safeguarding and further developing Waldorf pedagogy in close collaboration with other staff members.

In your assignment, you will work closely with both teachers, student health services, and the principal, focusing on creating the best possible conditions for both teaching and learning. You will also become part of an engaged management team where we work together, support each other, and share responsibility.

You will work to give teachers good opportunities to develop their teaching, among other things through interdisciplinary working methods and artistic deepening. At the same time, you will follow up on quality and results, with a focus on each student's development. The assignment encompasses both staff management and organizational coordination, and suits you who thrive in an operation where relationships, collaboration, and development are central.

The position is smaller in scope but can advantageously be combined with other assignments or positions currently advertised at the school. It is a permanent position at 25%, we apply a probationary employment period.

Qualifications

• have long experience working within Waldorf schools
• have an interest in leadership, organization, and the ability to translate legal requirements into action
• have a great commitment to students' learning and development
• have the ability to create good relationships with students and have good collaborative skills with staff and guardians
• have good communication skills in both writing and speech
