Red Cross is seeking a coordinator in communication, marketing, etc.

Do you want to contribute to strengthening humanitarian work on Gotland and help develop volunteerism in one of the world's largest humanitarian organizations? Red Cross Gotland is now seeking a dedicated employee who wants to work with communication, marketing, and developing our volunteers.

Your mission

In this role, you will contribute to strengthening Red Cross's local presence and engagement on Gotland. The work tasks include, among others:

• Communication and marketing – plan and implement communication efforts that highlight our activities.
• Training and recruitment – recruit new volunteers and conduct training related to our areas of operation.
• Member and volunteer care – build good relationships with our members and volunteers and develop their engagement.
• Start and lead a new volunteer group – focused on communication, recruitment, and member care.
• Conduct member days and activities – contribute to meaningful meetings and strengthen the community in the district.

Since Red Cross is a crisis and preparedness organization, the assignment may change based on evolving societal needs.

The work involves both strategic and operational tasks, and you will have close collaboration with the management group, coordinators, and our volunteers.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience in communication, marketing, and business development.
• Enjoy working with people and creating engagement.
• Have good ability to plan, organize, and drive your own projects.
• Are flexible, self-reliant, and confident in leading groups.
• Have good digital proficiency and experience with social media.
• Have a driver's license and access to a car.

It is important that you support Red Cross's fundamental principles and humanitarian values. Experience from the non-profit sector is advantageous, but not a requirement.

• Employment type: Fixed-term part-time employment (scope as agreed) until 2027-03-31 with the possibility of extension.
