Economist

Do you want to work close to the business, have overall responsibility for the finances, and become a central part of a dedicated team with strong roots in Jämtland's business community and rural areas? We are now looking for a reliable and experienced economist who wants to take responsibility for Hushållningssällskapet Jämtland's internal finances while contributing to the development of the green industries in the region.

Your Responsibilities

As our economist, you will have a broad and important role where you are responsible for the entire internal finance function. You work closely with our management, employees, and board, becoming a key person in keeping the organization's financial processes stable, transparent, and forward-looking. The work is varied and independent, but always with the team's support.

In your daily work, you handle the ongoing accounting for the company. You are responsible for financial statements, monthly reconciliations, and reporting, while also managing salaries and personnel-related documentation. A central part of the role is project accounting and requisitions related to our development and advisory projects, where you collect, quality-assure, and compile documentation to meet funders' requirements.

You also work with budgets and forecasts, producing analyses that provide management with a stable decision-making basis. The assignment also includes the financial management of our foundations, properties, and companies, where you are responsible for accurate reporting, administration, and order in all financial flows. Through close dialogue with colleagues and managers, you become a natural internal resource and support in financial matters. Someone who creates security, structure, and working methods that make the entire organization function better.

We Are Looking for You Who

• Have several years of experience in qualified finance work.

• Have good knowledge in financial statements, accounting, budgeting, and salary management.

• Are confident in working with project accounting and financial requisitions (meritorious if you have worked with public funding).

• Have a genuine interest in business development and want to help build sustainable finance work that supports the entire organization.

• Enjoy a role where you work closely with management and colleagues and are a socially secure and trustworthy person.

• Have an interest in the green industries and want to contribute to strengthening entrepreneurship, rural areas, and sustainable development in Jämtland.

Access to your own car and a Class B driver's license is required.
