Electrician for City Lighting – field work in public lighting

About the position

As an electrician with us, you work with operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and new installations in street lighting. The work is varied and mostly takes place outdoors.

You will operate with your own service vehicle and work both independently and in a team. The role also includes work with aerial lifts and on-call duty.

You are responsible for ensuring that lighting installations function safely, efficiently, and according to applicable requirements.

Job duties

The work includes among other things:

• Troubleshooting and repair of street lighting
• Operation and maintenance work
• New installation of lighting systems
• Replacement of light sources and fixtures
• Handling of fault reports
• Inspection, care, and preventive maintenance
• Repair of electrical systems and components

You also participate in:

• Testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of installations
• Ensuring that installations are carried out according to drawings, technical descriptions, and electrical safety regulations

Requirements:

• Vocational training as an electrician or equivalent
• ECY certificate or authorization
• Completed apprenticeship period
• Experience with similar job duties
• Class B driver's license (manual)
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• Experience reading and working from electrical drawings and technical documents
