Parallel to software development, we design and operate the infrastructure that runs our clients' applications. Avidity's infrastructure engineers work closely with developers to build secure, scalable, and reliable environments for modern cloud-based applications.

The Role

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who can help design, operate, and continuously improve the environments that run our applications and our clients' applications.

In this role, you will work across the entire lifecycle of our infrastructure: design and implement environments, maintain and monitor production systems, and improve developer workflows such as deployment and CI/CD pipelines. We work closely with development teams to ensure that applications run reliably, securely, and efficiently in production.

In this role, you will work with Linux-based systems and modern infrastructure tooling to build and operate containerized applications and cloud environments. You will help automate infrastructure, improve observability and operational processes, and ensure that our systems meet high requirements for reliability and security.

You will have significant influence over how the infrastructure is designed and operated for the systems you work with.

Key Project: Secure Infrastructure for the Financial Sector

As part of this role, you will work on a platform developed for a client in the financial sector. The system is delivered as a complete service, where we are responsible for both the application and the infrastructure it runs on.

The platform operates in a heavily regulated environment and must meet strict requirements for security and compliance with financial regulations. It also integrates with external authorities and supervisory systems, which places additional demands on operational reliability and traceability.

You will contribute to the development and operation of the cloud infrastructure that supports the platform, and help ensure that it runs in a controlled and reliable environment suitable for critical financial services.

This project offers the opportunity to work with infrastructure where security and accountability are fundamental design principles rather than afterthoughts. The platform is built for long-term stability and predictable operations in a context where systems must withstand both operational demands and external scrutiny.

What You Will Do

• Configure, administer, and automate Linux-based infrastructure
• Build and maintain automated deployment and integration pipelines
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve production systems
• Design and operate high-availability infrastructure, including failover between data centers
• Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management
• Ensure strong security practices, including secrets management, access control, and secure system configuration
• Design and maintain strategies for backup and disaster recovery
• Work closely with developers to diagnose and resolve issues in production environments

To succeed in this role, we believe you

• Have strong Linux knowledge and are comfortable operating production systems
• Have experience designing and operating infrastructure for modern applications
• Are familiar with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Have experience with OpenStack environments (preferred)
• Enjoy automating infrastructure and operational processes
• Have a strong awareness of security best practices in infrastructure and operations
• Are comfortable working with cloud platforms, regardless of provider
• Understand the importance of reliability, redundancy, and failover in production environments
• Collaborate well with developers and enjoy solving operational challenges together
• Are fluent in English
