About the Position

Wänerstedt AB is seeking a Design Assistant/Pattern Maker for our headquarters in Götene. We continuously work on collections of sportswear, and the purpose of the role is to serve as the link between the designer's requirements, product design, and production. This is a unique chance for you who want to work in the sportswear industry and take responsibility for your own projects!

In the work, you will gain excellent insight into the industry and have the opportunity to learn a great deal about how the practical work is conducted. The work is characterized by a lot of freedom and personal responsibility. You will work with multiple brands simultaneously, which means the work will be filled with much variety.

Your Responsibilities

As a Design Assistant/Pattern Maker, your primary tasks will involve ensuring that production meets the design team's ideas through sample handling. You will be in close communication with suppliers and become the design team's right hand in the production of the collection, as well as in monitoring that delivery times are met and occur at the right time. Many of your tasks involve taking personal responsibility and driving initiatives, which requires both independence and flexibility. You will also manage your own smaller design projects and work daily in Illustrator, which assumes you master it well.

We are looking for you who have/are

Good skills in Illustrator and an interest in sportswear design.

Creative, flexible, and enjoy working in a team

Good language proficiency in Swedish and English (spoken and written)

It is advantageous if you have an education in textiles and/or experience working in the textile industry. If you have a strong interest in sportswear, it is clearly advantageous.
