About the role

As a Sous Chef, you are a driving force in the daily operations. You combine operational work with creativity and help translate ideas into finished dining experiences. When the Head Chef is not on site, you confidently take over operational responsibility.

Your mission

You are responsible for ensuring that the kitchen's daily operations run in a structured, efficient, and high-quality manner. Together with the Head Chef, you work on:

• Implementing and further developing menus and concepts

• Ensuring staffing and planning for daily operations

• Leading and coaching the kitchen team with a present, secure, and professional leadership style

• Ensuring the team is updated on menus, events, and production

• Planning and executing mise en place

• Orders and inventory management

• Actively working with sustainable raw material handling and reducing waste

• Maintaining high standards in hygiene, self-monitoring, and work environment

• Ensuring cleanliness, order, and style

• Contributing to production planning and structure

• You are a natural part of production and thrive in the midst of service, with the same commitment in all parts of the business.

• Collaborates with the hotel's other departments to ensure a world-class guest experience. The goal is for every guest to feel like an honored guest

Who are you?

We believe you already have a similar leadership role today, or that you are an experienced sous chef ready to take the next step in your career.

To thrive and succeed in this position, you should have:

• Knowledge of Swedish and English, sufficient for workplace conversation

• At least three years of experience working as an a la carte chef in a high-class restaurant kitchen

• Structured and solution-oriented

• Education and good knowledge of HACCP

• Thorough knowledge of raw materials with a strong sense of seasonality

• Genuine interest in food and drink

• Engaged in sustainability and the overall guest experience

• You should be driven to create memorable experiences for our guests

• Confident in your leadership

• You should enjoy seeking solutions and making the best of every situation

• You have an eye for detail and you like order and tidiness

• You need to be a good colleague who wants to help create a good workplace

• You can handle giving and receiving feedback, both positive and developmental

• Used to working both operationally and strategically
