Hostel Host at Hanö Hostel

We are now looking for one or two hostel hosts to Hanö Hostel. We are seeking someone who enjoys order and tidiness, taking personal responsibility, and going the extra mile for guests staying at the hostel and visiting the island.

The hostel is located on the island of Hanö in the Blekinge Archipelago. A boat runs from Nogersund Harbor to Hanö approximately once per hour during the summer.

One must therefore be able to travel to and from Nogersund Harbor.

This will be our sixth summer operating the hostel. The hostel is situated halfway up the island in the island's old school. There are five rooms and two cabins, with a total of about 20 beds.

We are looking for one or two people who can work as Hostel Hosts.

Working hours are approximately 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM in a varying schedule from Monday to Sunday from June to mid/late August, with possible work on weekends in May and September as well.

In previous years, we have had two hosts sharing the role and working alternate weeks.

Job duties:

- Oversee and manage check-ins and check-outs

- Clean and prepare rooms

- Make beds

- Clean common areas (kitchen, shower, and toilet)

- Simple gardening tasks (Watering indoor and outdoor flowers and bringing in flowers)

- Inventory and order consumables

- Inventory and order bed linens
