Skivarps Gästgivaregård in Skurup municipality is seeking a knowledgeable, ambitious, loyal, and creative Head Chef/Chef for our kitchen.
The inn is a family business owned and operated by Jeanette & Johan Bohman since 2003. Here, there are 16 hotel rooms, 2 dining rooms, a wine cellar, and outdoor seating. The operation is seasonal and runs from around Easter until the end of November/December.
The inn's kitchen is based on very traditional cuisine but with a modern touch. We work with local ingredients as far as possible, and if time allows, we grow herbs, spices, and berries ourselves. We do not serve lunch; we are an evening restaurant. We also organize parties, weddings, memorials, and lunches for pre-booked groups. We arrange wine tastings with food every week during the summer.
In the spring, we are open Wednesday – Saturday and during the summer every day. That is when your working hours will be, but as you can understand, working hours vary during the season. At the inn, there is an overnight room for staff, as it can be difficult to travel by public transport to and from the inn during evenings and weekends. We can also help find other accommodation nearby if needed. If you have your own car, parking is available.
Are you the Head Chef/Chef we are looking for, you who have experience with à la carte kitchens and all kinds of cooking required in such a kitchen, have a sense for planning and do it, can handle allergens, can work independently as well as with other chefs/kitchen assistants. You are meticulous about the environment and hygiene in the kitchen. You can work both in situations when we have many guests and when we have fewer guests.
