Summer job as a chef at Norrqvarn

Norrqvarn has been an attractive tourist destination for many years during the summer, with both national and international guests visiting to experience and enjoy the Göta Canal, nature, activities, good food, and create wonderful memories. Norrqvarn is a perfect home base to explore the local area. We offer a variety of accommodations: hotel rooms, glamping tents, unique stumps, and mushrooms. The summer restaurant serves all day, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. On-site, there is also a popular mini-canal, an ice cream kiosk, and bicycle and canoe rentals.

Food-interested, open to development, and like to keep track of the kitchen situation? We are looking for you who want to help create a really great experience for our guests this summer. You should be cooperative, open & flexible, and foster a positive workplace around you. We are looking for someone who preferably has previous experience, has a passion for food, and thinks it sounds very exciting to take on this challenge. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner service. You will be an important part of the kitchen team and work in a business where a lot happens from morning to evening.

Opportunity for continuation after the season exists for the right person, then placed in central Mariestad.

Job duties

• Preparation and plating with a focus on quality and pace
• Preparations, planning, and collaboration in the kitchen team
• Participate in developing routines and work methods
• Ensure hygiene, order, and a good kitchen flow

We are looking for you who

• Has previous experience as a chef (merit)
• Is flexible, cooperative, and contributes to a positive workplace
• Enjoys when it's fast-paced, but still wants to deliver quality
• Can communicate fluently in English (requirement), Swedish is meritorious

Requirement for functional commuting: either own car or walking/cycling distance.
