We are now seeking a head waiter for the summer season who wants to help lead the daily work in our restaurant at Hotel Skansen Öland.

About Us

Hotel Skansen is located in Färjestaden on Öland, just after the bridge foundation. We are a hotel, spa, conference, and restaurant facility in constant development – we aim for more and strive to be the obvious choice on Öland.

At our facility, we have:

• 78 hotel rooms
• Several conference rooms and party venues
• Spa department
• Restaurant focused on quality without being a fine-dining establishment

As an extra dimension, we are also proud to host one of the world's largest whisky bars, which contributes to a unique atmosphere and many memorable experiences for our guests – and our staff.

In our restaurant, guests should be able to relax, eat good food, drink something nice, and have fun. The kitchen serves classic, well-known dishes with a modern touch and sometimes surprises with something unexpected.

About the Position

We are looking for you who want a job with responsibility and variety.

Your main duties are to serve food and drinks and ensure that the daily operations in the restaurant function and run smoothly.

You are a supportive and present hand to our restaurant manager. When the restaurant manager is off duty, you are the responsible work leader, which means you:

• Lead and distribute the work in the restaurant
• Ensure high service and good hospitality
• Handle stressful situations and unexpected events
• Are a reliable point of contact for both guests and colleagues

The position is at 86%, approximately 35 hours/week.

Flexible start, but preferably from May 1 to September 30 with the possibility of a lower workload for those who can and want to.

A driver's license is required to be able to commute to and from work, as public transportation is limited, or alternatively, you live nearby.
