Biljardpalatset is an expanding business with high ambitions and a clear goal: to become the leading establishment in Sweden within our genre. We maintain a high international standard in service, food, and beverages and are part of PalatsetGroup – a group with five restaurants in central and southern Sweden. All our operations have their own character but share the same core: a passion for service and experiences that make guests want to return.

Biljardpalatset has been an institution in Gothenburg since 1984 and has undergone significant changes in both premises and working methods in recent years. Now we want to continue developing – and are therefore seeking a head chef who wants to take our restaurant to the next level.

In the role of head chef, you lead and are responsible for the kitchen's daily operations and staff. You work with menu planning and development, staffing, recruitment, and work environment. You are responsible for purchasing, inventory, and stocktaking, as well as kitchen finances and performance monitoring. Naturally, you always keep the guest experience in focus, with food that should exceed expectations. Our cooking draws inspiration from around the world, with a clear preference for classics.

We are looking for you who:

• have at least 5 years of experience working in restaurant kitchens with à la carte service
• are a confident and engaged leader who creates a pleasant atmosphere around you
• have good knowledge in food safety, kitchen finances, and menu development
• are driven to develop both the business and employees
• stay updated through environmental scanning and contribute with creative ideas
• communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• are a frequent user of Office 365
