Description
The smokehouse between Åhus & Yngsjö is located just outside Åhus, right next to Helge River. The business currently consists of a restaurant, delicatessen shop & catering with its own smokehouse, bakery and production of pickled herring, cold sauces, and spreads. Since April 1, 2020, the company has been run by new owners.
We work with locally produced, fresh ingredients and uncomplicated yet delicious dishes. The menus change somewhat to work with seasonal selections. On weekdays, we serve the daily special, fish of the week, vegetarian, and our classics. On weekends, we serve a varied à la carte menu, with the largest selection of fish dishes but also meat and vegetarian options. During the summer, we serve à la carte from lunch to evening (no daily special). We prepare everything from scratch in our own kitchen and also bake/prepare our own cakes, bread, and desserts. We constantly work to improve our products and expand our own production.
We have high demands on the quality and origin of our ingredients and set high standards for our suppliers, which also means we expect a high level from our staff. It is an advantage if you are accustomed to changes and restructuring and see that it is fun with changes now and then. We are driven by idea-thinking, and the path from thought to reality is not long.
We are now looking for a chef for seasonal employment (SÄVA) with a start in April/May and tapering off towards the end of September. Possibility of extension exists. We interview on an ongoing basis, and the position can therefore be filled at any time.
- Work is scheduled during daytime (08:00-21:00) Monday-Sunday. 2-3 weekends/month. The schedule is provided at least two weeks before start.
- A driver's license is not required, but public transport to and from the workplace is somewhat limited.
- The employment begins with a probationary period.
- References will be requested.
- Salary according to agreement.
