Airport Worker at South Lapland Airport AB, Vilhelmina

The role includes work as an airport firefighter, ramp service, field maintenance service, aviation security, and other tasks as they arise. As an operational airport worker, you will work closely with airlines and passengers, managing daily operations of the airport facility from runway to hangars and baggage handling, operating vehicles for snow removal and/or maintaining technical equipment. Ramp work is often demanding, requiring good basic physical fitness. Special training and certification are required for all duties, which you will receive during your employment at the airport.

The following qualifications are basic requirements:

· Class C truck driver's license

· Good physical fitness to meet the requirements as an airport firefighter (you have or will be approved upon testing)

· Normal color vision

· Swedish and English, good proficiency in speech and writing

· Some computer experience is required

We consider it an advantage and merit if you also have:

· Training as an airport firefighter

· Operator's license for wheel loaders and telescopic handlers

· Experience with administrative work

We are looking for someone who is responsible, takes initiative when needed, and is a strong team player.

You can work efficiently according to established routines and are flexible and responsive when conditions change.

The year at the airport has large seasonal variations with shifting tasks depending on the time of year.

Upon employment, a registry check and security clearance will be conducted by the airport, and at our occupational health service (Falck), alcohol marker, drug tests, and physiological tests will be performed.

Employment:

Full-time, shift work.

Salary according to agreement.

Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period applies.
