Building Design Engineer (Kungens Kurva or Sundsvall)

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DESIGN ENGINEER

We at Skyhill are true house nerds and love helping our clients with their projects, whether in the role of general consultant responsible for the entire project from start to finish, or as an advisor/designer in individual phases.

We are now looking for another design engineer with extensive experience who can become part of our cheerful team. In addition to being a truly skilled design engineer, you also need to be kind, responsible, customer-oriented, and meticulous.

Location

The position is located either at our office in Kungens Kurva or at our office in Sundsvall.

MAIN TASKS

• Design engineering, calculations, and related tasks.

THE POSITION REQUIRES

• Work experience as a design engineer (we believe you have at least 5 years of experience, probably more).
• Degree from a technical college/university (or other education or experience we consider equivalent).
• Familiarity and experience with both early stages and design of system documents, construction documents, and relationship documents.
• Good knowledge of Autocad, Revit, Statcon, FEM-Design (or equivalent programs).
• A strong interest in working with a focus on the customer. We are to help our clients get the most out of their project, and it is therefore of utmost importance that they feel secure with us and that we do everything we can to ensure their project succeeds.
• Personal suitability.
• That you are kind.
• Good knowledge of Swedish industry regulations, laws, and standards, e.g., BBR.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language.
• Experience working both independently and in a team.
• High problem-solving ability.
• High willingness to collaborate.
• Very good communication skills.

PLUS FACTORS

• Certifications in related disciplines such as certification as an accessibility expert (TIL2), KA, construction inspection manager, etc.
• Established customer contacts.
• Experience or interest in working with architectural design.
• Experience or interest in giving lectures.
