Description

I am now seeking a personal assistant (or two) who wants a meaningful and varied job where you become an important part of both my daily life and my community engagement. Currently, I am resuming my work in local politics, which means that part of the job will consist of accompanying me to evening meetings, usually starting around 6 PM. Your role on these occasions is to be close at hand, observe, and if needed, offer support in a calm and discreet manner – that is why it is important that you have a good sense of situations and can determine when to step forward and when to be more in the background.

At home, the job is about creating structure in daily life. After an accident, my sense of hunger does not function as it should, which means you need to remind me to eat at least once a day, as well as be able to shop and prepare simple meals. You also help with common household chores. I manage the work myself and give clear instructions, and there are no heavy manual lifts.

More About the Job

An important part of the job is also being able to get between different locations. A driver's license is therefore essentially a requirement, and it is a great advantage if you have good local knowledge in Växjö or feel secure using GPS, as I myself have difficulty orienting myself. My communication can sometimes vary in tone when I become tired, but it is part of my situation and nothing personal – therefore, it is important that you are secure, have patience, and can take things calmly.

The position can either be a part-time job for you who want to take on greater responsibility, or be shared between two people. Furthermore, you in the group need to be able to coordinate the schedule yourselves and have functional communication, for example via text message, regarding where I am located and when the workday is expected to end.

You are practically inclined, solution-oriented, and thrive in a role where you are sometimes active and sometimes more observant. We have a functional schedule and offer a fixed schedule rotation of 5 shifts of 13 hours every other week. This can be allocated to one person or between two people depending on who applies for the position/preferences/flexibility.

Requirements

According to the customer's request, we are only seeking women for this position. We already have personal assistants who are men and wish for an even distribution in the group.

A Class B driver's license is a requirement to apply for this position.

Due to the content of certain recurring work routines and tasks, we request copies from the criminal record and suspicion register, maximum 1 month old. The extract is ordered digitally and then sent to us.

Competencies and Qualities That We Will Prioritize

• Good local knowledge in Växjö or good ability to navigate via GPS on the phone.
• Good sensitivity and attentiveness
• Experience with working longer work shifts (13 hours), but also being flexible for shorter work shifts if needed.
