The Company

Sematic was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Linköping. The company develops advanced software with a focus on facilitating staff scheduling at large hospitals. This includes user-friendly interfaces and a high degree of automation in the form of advanced algorithms that contain automated optimization functions and self-learning methods.

The idea was born and developed in direct collaboration with end-users, which has contributed to solutions that address the core of healthcare scheduling problems. Both solving the great mathematical complexity and meeting the requirements for a high degree of user-friendliness. Today, the tool is market-leading and competes out solutions from, among others, established software giants. Among the customers are now many regions and hospitals, all of which have signed multi-year contracts.

Sematic has grown steadily to meet customer demand. Last year, the workplace was expanded by moving to new office premises in Linköping, and now it's time for additional talents to become part of the competent and driven team.

Job Responsibilities

As a fullstack developer at Sematic, you have a broad and varied role where you develop software with solutions from start to finish. As a new employee, you participate in the work through collaboration with other team members with the aim of achieving the best solutions and developing within the company. The work is based on freedom under responsibility, where you also get the opportunity to develop through a lot of feedback and new challenges.

Some of Sematic's technology choices: JavaScript, Node.js, MongoDB, C++, among others.

Your colleagues at Sematic have close contact with end-users, which means the results of your work are directly noticed and fed back. In addition, you and other employees contribute with technical support to end-users.

Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities

• You have a Master of Science in Engineering education equivalent to Y, D, or IT
• You solve problems better than most
• You know the differences between data structures: arrays and hashmaps
• You understand algorithms and iterative/recursive behaviors
• You know the differences between trash collection and garbage collection

Meritorious: You have experience in JavaScript, Node.js, MongoDB or SQL, server and client management.
