Montessori Droppen Seeks Subject Teacher in Music and Art

Montessori Droppen is an F-6 independent school (and preschool) in Haparanda town center where we now need You who are a trained music teacher/music educator and art teacher passionate about teaching students in music/art and about solving pedagogical challenges with various kinds of children. We work together with the children for our shared work environment, where everyone - both staff and students - should thrive and feel secure.

WORK TASKS

As a subject teacher at the school, you are responsible for developing the pedagogical work in collaboration with colleagues and according to the curriculum for compulsory school. You work in a team and teach in the subjects music and art. You will work in grades F-6 where you place the students and their knowledge development at the center.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing the daily teaching. Documentation, assessment of students' knowledge development, and contact with guardians are an important part of the work. The position extends until the summer, with a chance for extension and possible increase in employment rate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you who apply are a licensed subject teacher with qualifications to teach music and art. You are a natural leader in the classroom and have good pedagogical ability as well as good subject knowledge. You should have a relationship-building approach in meetings with students, guardians, and colleagues.

The position is approximately 20-50% and can be combined with other subjects.
