About us

Källan Preschool is a small preschool run by parents and staff in an economic association with a Christian profile. We are located in Malmslätt outside Linköping. Here we have a lovely outdoor area with varied environments, we have proximity to forest and culture and take weekly trips to these different environments. We have 28 children in the operation, which creates a family-friendly environment.

Our guiding principles are that every child should be given time, space, and peace to have the conditions to develop their skills and trust in their own abilities. Everyone is welcome here regardless of background or beliefs.

Our operation is based on the preschool curriculum, Linköping municipality's guidelines, and is further permeated by Christian values such as care, respect, and community.

We are 7 educators working here; preschool teachers, childcare workers, cook, and principal. We place great emphasis on working in a team, everyone is needed and everyone is important, for our operation to continue developing and for every child to get the most out of their time here at the preschool.

Since all professional groups interact on a daily basis, the work processes go a bit faster, from idea to action, and you can influence the work in the operation in a relatively quick way.

We have a shared vision across the entire preschool and work towards jointly set goals, where we focus on language development and sustainable development. At Källan Preschool, we are proudly certified with the "Green Flag".

About the position

The position is located in our toddler department with children aged 1–3 years.

Here you will have an important role in leading and developing the pedagogical work together with your closest colleagues. We are keen that you as an applicant get to be your true self in our group where you feel you fit in and thrive.

You as a preschool teacher have the overall pedagogical responsibility and have the task of leading and developing the work together with your colleagues in an inspiring and engaging way.

In your role as a preschool teacher, you should create good relationships and be able to collaborate with children, guardians, and colleagues.

We see that you have good communication skills in speaking and writing in the Swedish language. In accordance with the Curriculum, it is your mission to ensure that children receive support in their language development.

You will:

Have the responsibility to lead the pedagogical work in the child group

Plan, implement, document, and follow up the teaching together in the work team, according to Lpfö rev. 25

Work closely with colleagues in a small work team

Create a safe, developmental, and caring environment for the youngest children

Develop good relationships with guardians

Work with and develop our governing documents

We are looking for you who:

Are a licensed preschool teacher

Have experience working with the youngest children

Are passionate about working with the youngest children

Are attentive, positive, calm, and flexible
