Certified teacher in home and consumer studies for grades 6-9

Johannesskolan is a Christian independent school in Norrköping. We have been in existence for over 30 years and have sister schools in both Nyköping and Flen. In the same building as us is Vindruvans preschool.

We are located in the middle of a growing district, Sandtorp, with good connections to central Norrköping and other residential areas in the city.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, we will have approximately 180 students in grades F-9. Teaching groups consist of 12-25 students. You need to be able to create an accessible learning environment and use language-developing methods as well as formative assessment in your teaching.

You are expected to be able to build good relationships, a study environment, and a structured learning environment where learning and work enjoyment are promoted. A positive attitude and ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents are essential. We are looking for a certified subject teacher who is qualified in home and consumer studies for grades 6-9. The employment rate is 20%. The employment rate can be increased if you are qualified in any of the other subjects we are advertising. Experience in the teaching profession is an advantage.

You need to be familiar with the curriculum and stay informed about research and development in your subject. As a school, we work on teaching quality according to the USiP (Teaching Quality in Practice) concept. You should be able to make relevant choices regarding teaching materials and methodology. The assignment includes managing a subject department with associated tools and equipment.
