Instructors School Farm

We are looking for one or more instructors for our school farm at Gotland Grönt Centrum AB

Gotland Grönt Centrum is developing and growing, which is why we are now seeking new employees for our team!

Are you passionate about dairy cows and youth? Welcome to join us in developing our school farm. We offer you a varied and developmental job as an instructor where you get the opportunity to inspire and teach your knowledge and experiences to our students.

The main tasks consist of daily operations, practical work in the barns with dairy cows and lambs such as milking, feeding, and daily routines, which also includes weekend work. You need to have a genuine interest and experience in milk production and enjoy development work. As an instructor at the school farm, you work in close collaboration with our team of instructors and teachers.

A large part of the work is performed together with the school's students. The instructor guides the student towards the school's learning goals and ensures an education that provides conditions for the student to handle a future professional life. You will also be involved in driving, developing, and planning renewal of our school farm

The scope is 100% but part-time may also be possible. Weekend work is included according to schedule. The position is a permanent employment that normally begins with a probationary period of 6 months. We have a collective agreement.

Start date is according to agreement or as soon as possible.

Note! We are also looking for an instructor in mechanical engineering, welding, and crop cultivation.

About You

We prefer that applicants have agricultural education, as well as experience in professional care of dairy cows and/or other common tasks in agriculture. It is meritorious if you have worked as a production manager or had responsibility for milk production and experience with insemination, breeding planning, and production development. A plus if you also have experience in lamb production. Important in the position is that you have a genuine interest in mentoring youth and want to meet, support, and develop good relationships with students.

Good collaboration skills are crucial as well as the ability to take responsibility, work structured and methodically.

You will be a key person in creating good conditions for the students' future professional lives. You will be part of the school's school farm group where we, together with teaching staff and other employees, drive the development of the school's operations forward. A positive and forward-thinking team where we have fun at work.

Driver's license B for manual transmission is required.

About Gotland Grönt Centrum

Gotland Grönt Centrum AB is an education and development actor within the green industries with teaching for both high school and adult students. We conduct teaching within the natural resources program with three different specializations, adapted high school with a focus on forestry, land, and animals, vocational packages for animal caretakers in agriculture's animals, and adult education in natural resources.

At the farm, a school farm is operated with crop cultivation, animals, and forestry. A total of approximately 260 hectares of arable land and 123 hectares of forest are cultivated. Approximately 200 hectares of the arable land as well as dairy cows and lambs are connected to KRAV. We have space for 84 milking cows kept in loose housing with milking in a pit. The lamb production consists of 60 ewes of a fur breed, Gotland sheep. We also have an animal house with various companion animals
