FARM WORKER WANTED. BUSINESS: We aim to be a beautiful and representative farm in a village with two UNESCO World Heritage farms with many visitors. The farm also has a simple summer café and a small building conservation shop. The farm has about 10 mountain-near cows, 15 Helsinki sheep, Gotland rabbits, and land hens in a living gene bank. We farm about 15 hectares of land + some forest and make our own hay. Currently, we do not milk, but we would like you to have good experience with cows and calves. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for a driven, thorough, and considerate person who wants to be part of a living smaller farm and self-sufficiency with the preservation of our Nordic land breeds. We are looking for a strong, sensible, and preferably initiative-taking person who enjoys physical work and preferably does not have their thumb in the middle of their hand. You should be able to work independently and take responsibility for what needs to be done on a farm. You need to have good health. You should be stress-resistant and able to handle many different tasks in a day at a high pace. When working with animals, anything can happen. Births, escapes, supervision of lambs and calves, etc., so you should also be able to step in when needed and be flexible in your working hours. You should be able to communicate and be honest and feel responsibility for our beautiful and unique buildings. It is required that you perform all tasks with a positive attitude, thoroughly but still quickly and efficiently. This creates a more enjoyable work environment where everything is in its place and optimizes the work. Our guiding principles are passion, respect, honesty, and joy. Garden maintenance Property maintenance REQUIREMENTS: Driving license B Good Swedish is a requirement, as documentation, regulations, and all information about the animals are in Swedish. Non-smoker, as the farm is a smoke-free workplace. DESIRABLE: You should -have good care and be able to handle animals -understand why one must be thorough with cleaning. -be able to keep tools and everything that occurs on a farm in order. -have tractor experience and be able to handle some older agricultural tools and machines. Preferably be able to handle a chainsaw and a brush cutter.
