Teacher in Biology/Fish Biology

Do you want to combine your biology expertise in the classroom with active work outdoors in nature? Do you enjoy inspiring young people and working practically? Then this could be the role for you.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic and developmental work environment with young people. You will be a teacher in courses such as fish biology, biology, and fishing and water conservation. Part of the position will be of a practical nature, as you will, among other things, collaborate with other staff in educational activities like habitat conservation, test fishing, and marine biology during our trip to the northern parts of Norway.

The position also includes participating in fishing trips with students, at various fishing fairs, and having close collaboration with the industry. You will be part of the team working with the school's sport fishing students. Here, you will help develop the team and the education so that it is always adapted to the industry's demands.

Education/Experience

You have an education in fish biology, limnology, or an upper secondary teacher education in biology.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge in sport fishing methods, are interested in outdoor life, and the school's other orientations.

Pedagogical education and experience are highly advantageous.

We place great importance on your personal qualities, and you need to be creative, driven, and structured. You should have good collaboration skills and see change work as something exciting.

About the Position

It is a permanent position, with a 6-month probationary period, starting in August 2026.

ForshagaAkademin is an independent upper secondary school with industry-focused upper secondary education in the sports and leisure sector. The school also hosts Sweden's only higher vocational education program focused on fishing and hunting guiding. The school's sport fishing education programs, which have been conducted for almost 30 years, are unique and well-known both nationally and internationally.
