Gotland Grönt Centrum AB is an education and development actor within the green industries, providing instruction for both high school and adult students. We conduct teaching within the natural resource program with three different specializations, adapted high school focusing on forestry, land, and animals, vocational package for animal caretakers within agriculture, and adult education in natural resource use.

We have a development-oriented school farm with milk production, lamb production, plant cultivation, and forestry, operated by staff and students with a focus on education. We center on the student, where they are involved in learning natural resource use in real life IRL.

We are now looking for an engaged vocational teacher with expertise in plant cultivation and preferably also machinery.

JOB DUTIES

The position includes, among other things:

• Planning, conducting, and evaluating instruction in vocational subjects based on current subject plans.
• Conducting combined instruction in practice and theory.
• Adapting the instruction to each student's needs and conditions.
• Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment and good relationships that promote students' learning and independence.
• Collaborating with staff and being part of our school farm and operations.
• Participating in the overall development of the organization, such as planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Mentoring students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you as an applicant have:

• Work experience in agriculture with a focus on plant cultivation and preferably machinery.
• Are organized, flexible, and have good initiative, and understand how collaboration makes the organization better. Are good at building relationships.
• Have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• Want to develop teaching and plant cultivation in our school farm together with colleagues so that our education and Gotland Grönt Centrum as a whole create value for the green industries on Gotland.
• We place great importance on personal suitability, so you as an applicant do not need to be a trained teacher, but experience in guiding others to knowledge is advantageous.

• As a new employee, you will receive introduction and support in entering the teacher role and what it entails, for example, planning for instruction, course plans, teaching modules, and assessment criteria within vocational subjects. Advantageous:

• Higher studies in agriculture such as agronomist, farm manager, or similar.
• Vocational teacher certification is advantageous, but not required. A B driver's license is required.
• Practical experience in plant cultivation, but also agricultural machinery is advantageous.
• Experience in leading youth.

Start date: As soon as possible by agreement.
