Natural Resource Use Teacher

Gotland Green Centre AB is an education and development provider within the green industries, offering teaching for both high school and adult students. We conduct teaching within the natural resource use program with three different specializations, adapted high school with a focus on forestry, land, and animals, vocational package for animal caretakers within agriculture, and adult education in natural resource use.

About the Position

We are now seeking a teacher in natural resource use with the following areas of responsibility:

• Coordinator and teacher for adapted high school with a focus on forestry, land, and animals
• Class teacher and mentorship for the natural resource use program
• Teacher in natural resource use for adapted high school in forestry, land, and animals as well as the natural resource use program

In your role, you are responsible for the overall planning of adapted high school together with the work team for adapted high school in forestry, land, and animals, where you also teach in natural resource use in forestry, land, and animals.

You work closely with work teams, students, and the school's support functions, student health, and staff. To succeed in this role, strong commitment to school development, good understanding of students' different learning conditions, and a willingness to work in shared leadership within a team are required.

You are a present person who creates a good structure and drives pedagogical development with a strong focus on students' learning. You contribute to the work with the school's strategic and long-term development together with the education manager and other staff.

About You

We are seeking you who have a university or college degree with a pedagogical orientation and a valid teaching license. It is advantageous if you have experience in previous mentorship, being a class teacher, natural resource use subjects, and leading staff within high school and/or adult education. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of work within intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and the adapted school forms.

It is also desirable that you have experience from the green sector and work experience within agriculture.

You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships and act as a role model in meetings with students, guardians, and employees. You understand the importance of a strong brand and the significance of collaborations and well-functioning networks, and have previous experience in development and change work. You enjoy variety in your work and have the ability to handle both strategic and operational tasks.

Start Date: As soon as possible by agreement.

Employment Rate: 60 - 100%, or by agreement

Employment Type: Permanent employment with probationary period
